Publish in GlobalEurope

GlobalEurope publishes 5-6 issues per year (ISSN: 3070-3352). Let us know if you would like to contribute an article or a book review by filling out and submitting the form at the bottom of this page. You may also pitch special topics (composed of at least 5 research articles) as a guest editor. We look forward to your proposal.
GlobalEurope is committed to making knowledge accessible freely to anyone with an internet connection. We do not charge contributors, and we do not remunerate for content. Articles are evaluated by a combination of in-house and external expert reviewers through a transparent and open process. Editing and copyediting occur in-house. All editors are PhD holders at various stages in their careers and specializing in an array of fields: history, geography, political science, international relations, literature, and digital humanities.
Guidelines for full submissions:
Research articles: preferably 3000-4000 words (without counting references or notes).
Book reviews: preferably 1000-1500 words.
GlobalEurope uses US English and the Chicago style citation system (preferably author-date, but we accept notes and bibliography if customary in your discipline).
Repository policy:
Authors are permitted to deposit their paper’s version of record published in GlobalEurope in any institutional or subject repository of their choice.
Why publish in GlobalEurope:
Global reach: GlobalEurope is read in over 60 countries.
Interdisciplinarity: broad thematic and geographical scope.
Diamond Open Access: no fees to either authors or readers; non-commercial model complying with certain grants’ publication requirements.
Quick turnaround: We work in a fast-paced environment. Articles are accepted on a rolling basis and included in the issue to be published next when the review/revision process allows it.
Collaborative editing: We consider authors are our colleagues and look forward to helping them make their work publication-ready. Article reviewing occurs both in-house and with the help of external reviewers.
Inclusivity: We welcome early-career researchers and, although GlobalEurope only publishes in English and cannot provide translation services, we especially welcome scholars whose first language is not English.
